Trainer Candice Bass has two decent contenders. BACKINTHEFASTLANE made good improvement to win last time and the form has been franked. He is getting better with maturity but has a bit of a task from the widest draw this time. HELIOTROPE is a consistent mare by Rafeef and she would be deserving. She has run well in stronger races and should be in the firing line if not needing it. BEAUTIFUL SIDE is another that has been campaigning in tough contests and she could prefer the drop in distance. MIDWAY enjoyed finding more to win last time. He must be included.
